As promised, here is an update on my Russian language progress! So far, I have completed one semester of Russian (RUS 101) at UH-Manoa, and I am currently about two weeks into RUS 102. I am personally really excited about my progress. I feel like I have a much better grasp of both pronunciation and “beginner” grammar. I also find it easier to speak in general, both from a lot of practice/repetition in RUS 101 and overall increase in confidence.
Here is my video (After RUS 101/Before RUS 102) updating my progress. In the last video, I wrote out everything I wanted to say in English and translated on camera. For this video I only wrote out prompts in English (like, “My name is..” “I study…” “My schedule is…”) and basically decided on camera what I would fully say. Oh, and I also recited Pushkin’s poem Ты И Вы, a short poem that we learned in class. Hope you enjoy and can see the progress!
